It is a well known fact that migraine is hereditary andincurable at this time. Sometimes the pain can be reduced toa tolerable level for a time. Patients should be advised of of this before any treatment is attempted. I find nothing inthe reviews of the book MIGRAINE by Oliver Sacks disclocing this pertinent information.

Oliver Sacks is better in theaters than read. I consider “The man who mistook his wife with a hat” the only readable book from him.

As a migraine sufferer, and a student of neuroscience, this book was a welcome addition to my library as well a a terrific contribution to my understanding of the nature of a migraine headache. So far, it doesn’t seem to offer any talk of a cure, but it does give great insight.
